I too was getting the following error when running a Notes 8.0.1 full install: CWPPR0025E: An unexpected error occurred while processing the provisioning manifest.
Unexpected results have occured during the provisioning operation. for additional information please refer to the logs: C:\...\Worplace\logs..."
And, after the install completed, I did not have a Start Menu item for the Notes Client program, but did have for Admin and the related programs. Manually runnnig nlnotes.exe did work in starting the Basic client. But, running notes.exe did not start the Standard client (nothing happened at all).
I had unzipped the full client install files into a folder called: "c:\Notes 8.0.1 Client, Admin & Dev Install" and was running the setup.exe from there. Renaming this folder to "c:\Notes801Full" seems to have fixed the problem. I'm not sure if it was the long folder name, the special characters, or the spaces but the installation program didn't like something about the folder name. Now the install runs correctly, it creates a Start Menu item for notes.exe, and the Standard client starts up correctly.
